Caidren spent his time in the Boltcasters 2nd Battalion and left after being cast out for refusing a mission that would have result in him dying along with the rest of his battalion. The mission involved burning an outlying town to the ground due to lack of tax payments. Caidren found the whole ordeal in bad taste as well as immoral and was stripped of rank and class as result. His commander, Jed Theune, left the ranks shortly then after and became Caidren’s master in all things survival and friend in most things in life.
Caidren now wanders the country, living off of the land, doing what he can to make a few pieces of gold so that his master and surrogate father Jed can live the rest of his life in comfort.
Caidren has bed many women, but only two have ever held his heart. Those two are both gone now, their lives moving way past the path of this rambling ranger.
He survives as a mercenary of sorts, relying on his inner sense of right and wrong to chose what tasks he will undergo.
As to date, only one race has made it onto Caidren’s list of hated enemies; goblins. Coming in on close second, though never written on the page, are sympathizers to the military’s cause.
